TGF-β1 and T cells

Some T cells (regulatory T cells) release of TGF-β1 inhibition of the action of other T cells. Interleukin 1 - and interleukin-2-dependent proliferation of activated T cells, and static helper T cells and cytotoxic T cell activation, and to prevent by the activity of TGF-β1. Similarly, inhibition of TGF-β1 in many other cytokines, including interferon-γ, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and various interleukins secretion and activity. It can also reduce the down regulation of the activity of immune cells, cytokine receptors, such as IL-2 receptor expression levels. However, TGF-β1 can increase the expression of certain cytokines in the T cells, and promote their proliferation, especially when the cells are immature.
