tgfb1 function

TGFB is a multifunctional peptide, control of proliferation, differentiation, and other functions in many types of cells. TGFB acts synergistically with triglyceride fatty acid induced transformation. It also acts as a negative autocrine growth factor. Dysregulation of TGFB activation and signaling may lead to apoptosis. Many of the cellular TGFB synthesis and almost all of them have specific receptors for peptides. TGF B1, tgfb2 tgfb3 all functions, and through the same receptor signaling system.

Transforming growth factor beta 1 was first found in human platelets as a protein with molecular weight 25 Dalton with a potential role, wound healing. It was later characterized as a larger precursor protein ( 390 amino acids ), proteolytic processing to produce a mature peptide of 112 amino acids.

Transforming growth factor -β 1 plays an important role in the control of the immune system, and shows the different activities in different types of cells, or cells at different developmental stages. Most of the cells ( or cell ) secretion of transforming growth factor beta 1
